led a pure and exemplary life. Money was no consideration to him. His whole aim in life was to serve his God his Government and the Community in which he lived. Although many insinuations were, from time to time, made against him, yet he never condescended to contra- dict any one of them, holding that truth will always come to the sur- face and knowing that he had done his best for everybody. His last remarks to his friends were that if God has any further use of him in this world He would not allow him to remain long in his illness; but if He ordains otherwise then he was ready to go at any moment. He was quite contented, he said, for he had done over 30 years' work and performed his duties in a conscientious manner and to the best of his abilities.

Yours sincerely

sd.
